Evil Wind 08:22
Evil Wind we have seen it a hundred times mother earth still bears the ugly scars from Nevada to the Sinai from Bikini atolls to Nagasaki it carried illness, it carried death it roamed in the streets the wind born in the west laments are heard as kingdoms fell desolated roads and highways because we've seen it a hundred times Mother earth still bears the ugly scars from south Australia to chernobyl From Alamo Gordo to Hiroshima and the rivers have no fish and the plains have no green we've been all taken by the evil wind Smitten are the lands what should we do know? the evil wind passed like a flood through highest and thickest walls no door will keep it out no bolt can turn it back we played with fire we got burnt down because we have seen it a hundred times and we can't see Mother Earth's scars it's all around us it's blowing hard
2.
In her skin 04:01
In her skin She sings to the midnight sky she deals with pain so well she raises at every dawn and faces a brand new day she hangs up in a smoky bar where men ain't polite she does her act in awe regardless the crowd - in her skin she’s comfort within when she's alone at home she sinks deeply in her thoughts she pours a glass of red in front paper and pen when she's out and about she doesn't speak so much her presence a mystery like her beautiful eyes -She lives in her skin she's comfort within
3.
Temptation road Sleepless nights, silent nights I never learned, to slow down and I'm tired of what I do I can't stop I feel like a monk in temptation road The circus's in town got people in trance I look for the lady to draw me the cards A pawn to my moods never cared for the news Nothing it's easy cause easy ain't free I am counting the crumbs of sin I feel a bit dumb, walking along in temptation road I go there at night, sometimes during daylight go there in my dreams, it's just something I need
4.
Mad wind blow wind is blowing mad outside my door city is covered in a thick black cloud somewhere Noah's readying up his boat fools rush in where angels fear to walk I feel a hand pushing me northwest from southern winds we expect bringing some change Uncle Sam's sitting on his porch he's cursing rain before it even falls he knows the swamp is gonna flood he knows that people gonna lose their homes a hundred mile an hour wind's a nasty blow it carries death among its tolls -roar, outside my door, roar, mad wind blow rattling windows soon to break ghosts amok opening doors tides come rushing devouring land a spooky whistling, lunatic roar the answer my friend's long gone things have changed, the poet wrote wind is blowing madly outside my door buildings are falling like dominoes
5.
Shattered love I can't recall when the road turned south I can't recall you ever saying goodbye I never meant to make you sad I think you stole it from my heart I think we did the best we could when found ourselves in dire those springtime days went so fast we couldn't manage to stick around It seems likes ages since we fell in love our lives have changed or lack thereof times hasn't been kind at all we did our best, or did we not? -we tried restoring our shattered love smashed in pieces on the floor let's say we leave the best for last we have taken different paths sometimes paths converge again and turn into one until the end the say it's common to change your mind as you get older and learn from life they say it's normal to make mistakes if only there was time to amend I've heard they say some things never split they are attached to infinity I know it might not sound so good it's not my fault I didn't make the rules now let's see this in another light a bit warmer a bit bright you lick a lemon for the first time the taste will stay with you the rest of your life
6.
Sleeples praise This place become out of control this place makes sense no more I don't even know what I'm waiting for in the river of life, I've lost my track in thoughts and dreams, in bets and lust I could not hear the trumpet's call I escaped midway only to return where she left her pearls and I lost my senses seems like we all look around to find some respite to put at rest our troubled mind I hide from people, I've broken the mirror the drifting boat of fate seems controlled by a wheel of chance the here and now holds onto the past while tomorrow is waiting afar grief waves its blunted knife in fortune's face and eyes the morning light oozes in through a window shade's cracks sometimes you hear the angel's song sometimes the devil takes you home pillow's full of gall and dreams those I won't be able to achieve my poor tired mind is out of tune and my mouth stays rather mute I measure distances between now and then I feel the architect of my own mistakes I pay the tolls but there's always more I measure pain to determine the trial I'll be on
7.
By myself 05:47
By myself I tried my way but it did not work changed the view to see the good I tried to fit unnoticeable the windows are open and the doors are closed - There's no one around to help me out to lighten this weight from my back I got a reason to suspect that I've been lied to all along the way they tried to sell me tin for gold they tried to make me buy obsolete stuff - There's no one around to help me out to lighten this weight from my back I spread my dreams like a falcon's wings I talk to those who want to hear somehow indifference has won nobody care, no need to know good things are hidden behind the fog we are all expendable pawns it bothers me somehow that a few get the cake and most get the crumbs
8.
Frontiersman 04:33
Frontiersman some say it's easy, some say it's hard I stand in the middle, where Spirit stand I roam like the wind, from land to land I used to feel free, I sued to have dreams now I'm standing still, hearing things I don't dig - now the borders are close for the bard and the wise now there's nowhere to go for the frontiersman there's a man on the tv, he's building a wall he says he'll keep all aliens at home and there comes another, a funny blond bloke I can't make out, what he's talking about now the pictures enlarges, they are all in a room they are all one eyed, it's the kingdom of the blind I used to be welcome, in every town now they look me with scorn the earth is my place, the place I was born I'm not being caged, I'm not being put off
9.
Left to rot 04:55
Left to rot Afraid to hesitate, afraid to let it go afraid to hear my thoughts my heartbeat stops, my senses scoff there's just one way to go it's been good, it's been worth, doubts overflown to comprehend what we've done -whatever we've done it's been left to rot whatever we've done I get from your words, leftovers ain't worth it's all or it's naught the wheels keep on turning, for you and I returns not an option, but a brief regret
10.
Swing of fate I've got a plan I'm gonna run away there's no way I'm gonna sit and wait I need a touch that soothes my soul I'm gonna roll with a swing of fate I'm taking Billy to see auntie Mae she surely knows how to treat a man I'm gonna loosen up my brain I'm gonna roll with a swing of fate I'm gonna face and dare all fears I'm still tempted to repeat the wrongs I'm gonna trust the cards I've got I'm gonna roll with a swing of fate I'm gonna explore the dominions of taste gonna swim in the vast abyss when my innate power fail I'm gonna look for a swing of fate Now it's the time that I raise my voice now it's the time to leave my comfort zone hope my scars will know themselves from fear I hope I'm gonna get a swing of fate I think it's time to shine my shoes I think it's time to pack my bag I think it's time to change my suit I think I'm gonna need a swing of fate I've got a plan I'm gonna run away there's no way I'm gonna sit and wait I need a touch that soothes my soul I'm gonna roll with a swing of fate
